Use of moulds for freezing in cryomould

1. Prepare the specimen in cryomould at room temperature and fill the latter with MCC.

2. Transfer to mould MLD50 2520-5 and add chuck and standard heat extractor. Freeze for a time

between 30 and 150 seconds, depending on the cryomould dimensions and then check that the
block is completely frozen. If needed wait more time.

3. Remove the cryomould from the block and cut in cryostat or detach the block from the chuck and

store it in the freezer.
