2.3.3. Camera lens setup
MacroVIEW is provided complete with two different types of lenses: a neutral lens and a “+2” close up lens.
By using the two different types of lenses, it is possible to modify the maximum and minimum fields of view.
The unit us shipped with a neutral lens on the camera; if you wish to fit the +2 lens, unscrew the neutral lens
and screw the lens clockwise, as shown in the image below to the right.
The image in MacroView 5 software can be taken with different zooms, in 7 pre-set steps. The STANDARD o
EXTENDED type of zoom can be chosen, as described in chapter 3.6.4.
Extended mode: 12x optical zoom default setting
Standard mode: optical zoom optimized and customized for default use
According to the Standard Zoom or Extended Zoom setting it is possible to have two different zoom levels,
hence two different frames of the photographed areas.
HOW TO CHOOSE THE TYPE OF ZOOM AND THE TYPE OF LENS:
- You can work in Standard zoom configuration without a lens (neutral lens) and manage to focus even at
0 cm from the body.
- If you want to zoom further, you can set the Extended zoom with a +2 close up lens, which however
requires a distance of 40-50 cm (16-20”) to focus during the 80% and 100% zoom (for zooms below
80% you can even focus at 0 cm from the body).
Information on the AREAS that can be framed with MacroVIEW is provided below.
- Maximum height of the unit (stand raised to the maximum and manipulator raised to the maximum):
2630 mm (103.5”)) is: 180X100 cm (71”x39”) considering a height of 90 cm (35”).
- Considering a distance of 50 cm (20”) from the target, the framed area is shown in the following tables,
depending on whether you are working with Standard or Extended Zoom.
