If the following folder is enabled:
when the exit button at the top part of the screen is pressed, MacroVIEW will be minimized but not
closed.
However, if the button is held down for at least 3 seconds, the program will be closed.
You can enable this box when MacroVIEW is opened directly by its icon (not by an external program or an
application) or even when it is started from the command line.
You cannot enable this box when you are working as a Twain device. In this case, if you want to minimize
MacroVIEW upon exit, you are prompted to select the “Volatile” mode in “Settings
→
Third party” mode in the
Twain section.
In fact, you can use the MacroView software and the camera as a TWAIN device, which can be used by an
external software (not included). Press Reinstall virtual driver and choose one of the four available modes:

be temporarily saved in a "Twain" folder. Furthermore, MacroVIEW will be
closed after importing the images.

In “Volatile” mode, the case data is not saved, only the images of the open case will be temporarily saved in
a Twain folder created in the same folder where the MacroVIEW cases are saved (Settings-Storage). If you
want to permanently save the images, enable the “Secondary Twain storage” folder (secondary folder of
Twain) in Settings – Storage” and use the “Browse” button to select the path where to save them. The cases
will not be saved at this address, but only the images with the permanent saving date and time.
The following are some specifications regarding the TWAIN connection:
1. The MacroVIEW TWAIN connection does not support Citrix technology of the desktop display nor any
other virtual machine. It was not developed or tested for these environments.
2. The window of the MacroVIEW applications always opens maximized. It can be re-sized, but it does not
retain the change between two successive Twain sessions.
