Steering Wheel Test
The Steeri ng Wheel Test allows the operator to check the left to right movement of the steering wheel .
Before proceed ing, make sure hands and any other objects are clear of the steering wheel . U pon entering
th is test, the steeri ng wheel will automatically tu rn to the left to beg i n the testi ng proced ure.
H ig hl ight the Steering Wheel Test with the Volume U p or Vol u me Down Button the n , press the Test
Button. The steering wheel turns to the left. Press the Test Button and it turns to the right. P ress Test
Button again to return to the Diag nostic Men u .
Monitor Patterns
The Mon itor Patterns Test provides a menu for testing the mon itor. H ig h l ight the test with the Vol u me U p
or Vol ume Down Button a n d activate with the Test Button. Conti n ue pressing the Test Button to cycle
th rough the test and automatically return to the Main Men u .
T h e RED, GREEN, a n d BLUE SCREEN tests fil l the screen with either red , green , or blue.
The COLOR BARS test fills the screen with several color bars i n d ifferent shades to help with red, green,
and blue level adjustments. Each color should appear sharp and clear. The Color Bars screen is usefu l in
adjusting the mon itor brig htness and contrast.
The CROSSHATCH PATTERNS test fills the screen with a g rid and a series of dots. The g rid and the
dots should be clear. The dots should be rou n d . The C rosshatch pattern is usefu l in verifying the mon itor
convergence, linearity , and screen size.
If any of the tests show a need for adjustment, use the proper knobs on the Mon itor Controls board .
Burn-in Test
The B u rn-in Test conti n ually repeats the C P U Board Test. Press the Vol u me U p or Down Switch to
high light the B u rn-in Test then, press the Test Button activate. When the Burn-in Test detects an error,
the test stops and d isplays an error message on the screen . Use this test to find intermittent C P U
problems.
To exit th is test, switch the game OFF then ON again.
