Note: This connection method is especially suited for the universal input 1, if it is operated in "Cnt.Day" or
"Cnt.Intervl." channel mode. As the battery voltage is always available, the counter pulses can also be recorded
asynchronously to the measurement cycle. The disadvantage of this connection method is that due to a load of 1k1
the power consumption per channel can be permanently up to 3,7mA when the switch contact is closed1k1 . For
universal inputs, that are operated in "Digital" channel mode, the use of the 14VDC switchable sensor supply to
supply the switch contacts ("Digital modes (use of the 14VDC sensor supply)" on page 42) is more suitable as there
can only be a current flow during the warmup time and measurement.
