Battery cell
- Number of cells in your battery pack.
End voltage
- Charge/discharge terminal voltage in mV per cell.
Charge current
- Charge current in A.
Discharge current
- Discharge current in A.
Note:
The BAL.CHARGE and STORAGE modes use automatic cell number
detection; in order to use these modes, the balance cable of your pack has to
be always connected to the balance port of your charger
.
3.5.2 Saving the Settings
If you often use the same battery you can save the parameter settings
into the memory of your charger (up to 8 programs). Once you are satis-
fied with the parameters you have set, touch the “SAVE” icon to enter the
Memory interface. Select the desired memory slot and touch the “SAVE”
icon again to save the settings.
From now on you can enter the Memory menu (refer to 3.2 Memory
menu) and launch the desired charge/discharge process simply touching
the “START” icon without any further setting.
3.5.3 Launching the Process
Once you are satisfied with the parameters you have set (refer to 3.5.1)
touch the “START” icon to launch the desired process.
Alternatively, enter the Memory menu to select one of the previously
stored charge/discharge programs (refer to 3.5.2) and touch the “START”
icon.
3.5.4 Working Interface
Once the charge/dis-
charge process has
been started, you
can switch between
two screens of the
working interface:
total voltage vs.
time graph and in-
dividual cell voltage
display.
Ext. Temp
- Temperature measured by the optional temperature sen-
sor. (No Sensor - no sensor connected.)
Int. Temp
- Internal temperature of the charger.
Input Vol
- DC input voltage of the charger.
Voltage
- Output voltage of the charger.
Current
- Charging/discharging current
Capacity
- Total charged/discharged electric charge during the process
Touch the “CELL” icon to go to the individual cell voltage display.
Touch the “BACK” icon to return to the total voltage/time graph screen.
3.5.5 Stopping the Process
You can stop the process by touching the “STOP” icon anytime.
3.6 NiMH/NiCd Program

CYCLE
MORE...
Cyclic charge/discharge additional parameters
- discharge end voltage, cycle delay time, cycle
order and cycle time setting.
CYCLE
Cyclic charge/discharge basic parameters-
battery cell number, delta-peak sensitivity,
charge and discharge current setting.
CHARGE
The charger will charge NiMH and NiCd batte-
ries using the charge current set by the user.
DISCHARGE This mode is for discharging NiMH/NiCd batte-
ries.
Both the two NiMH and NiCd programs work in the same way; we will use
the NiMH charge mode as an example.
3.6.1 Setting the Parameters
Enter the NiMH menu.
Select the Charge mode “CHARGE” and set all the parameters as requi-
red.
Battery cell
- Number of cells in your battery pack.
(Discharge) End voltage
- Discharge terminal voltage in mV per cell.
Delta V
- Delta-peak charging automatics sensitivity (in mV per cell)
