Removing the legrests
For easy transfer into and out of the
wheelchair as well as a reduced
wheelchair length (important for
transport) the legrest can be removed
(fig. 22).
– Switch the wheelchair off and shift
the brake release lever into the
dri-
ve position
. – This prevents the
wheelchair from rolling away acci-
dentally.
– Remove lower leg strap, if present.
– Remove both feet from the foot
plates.
– Pull the lever (fig. 21/

) back or
press.
– Swivel the legrest sideways and
take them off toward the top (fig.
23).
Attaching the legrests
– With the legrest in a swivelled-asi-
de position, hang it in and then
swivel it to the front until the lo-
cking device audibly latches.
– Check that it is secure!
– Attach the calf belt.
