Folding up the foot plates
For easy transfer into and out of the
wheelchair as well as more foot space
the footplates can be folded up (fig.
19).
– Switch the wheelchair off and shift
the brake release lever into the
dri-
ve position
. – This prevents the
wheelchair from rolling away acci-
dentally.
– Remove lower leg strap (fig. 17/

), if present.
– Remove both feet from the foot
plates.
– Fold up foot plates (fig. 19).
