N2 Dialer Module—N2 Dialer Module (NDM) 31
A 2-position DIP switch like the one shown in Figure 10 is used to switch the 220 ohm
End-of-Line (EOL) resistor and 1200 ohm bias resistors for the N2 Bus. Set both DIP
switches in the same position or the N2 Bus may become unbalanced and experience
communication problems. If the NDM is the last device on the daisy chain, or if it is the
only device on the N2 trunk with EOL resistor capability (even though it’s not at the end
of the line), position the EOL switches to IN. In all other cases, position the EOL
switches to OUT. Refer to the ASC and N2 Bus Troubleshooting Technical Bulletin in
the Metasys Application Specific Controllers Technical Manual, FAN 636.3, for detailed
information on N2 EOL settings.
