• Start the power generator.
This process is described in Section „5.6. Operation“ on Page 29.
• Perform a 10 minute test run, without load.
• Check the motor during and after the test run for leaks.
• Turn off the engine.
• Check the oil level.
5.5. Daily checks before starting-up
5.5.1. Check for completeness and damage
NOTICE
If external damage is visible, do not put the power generator into operation.
• Keep the exhaust air openings free
• Keep the power generator clean inside and out. Oil and dirt endanger operational readiness.
• Check the power generator for rust and paint damage. Touch up paint damage immediately.
• Check the power generator for loose or missing parts.
• No objects are allowed to lie on the power generator.
• Check the power generator for leaks.
If you encounter any leaks the power generator needs repair.
5.5.2. Check motor oil level
NOTICE
The oil level must not fall below the „MIN“ line marker. Motor damage could result.
• Turn off the engine.
• Let the motor cool for at least 5 minutes.
• The generator must be horizontal.
• Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick and wipe it clean.
• Insert the oil filler cap/dipstick into the oil filler neck, but do not screw it in, then remove it to
check the oil level.
• If the oil level is near or below the lower limit-mark on the dipstick, fill with the recommended
oil to the upper limit mark (bottom edge of the oil fill hole). Do not overfill.
• Reinstall the oil filler cap/dipstick.
