NOTICE
Avoid mixing oils of different brands. Incompatibilities could occur.
Higher wear or engine damage are possible. Use oil of same type from the same manufacturer.
The interval between two oil changes depends on the fuel qualities. Therefore use only the recommended
fuels.
Oil is a major factor affecting performance and service life. Use 4-stroke automotive detergent oil.
Use 4-stroke motor oil that meets or exceeds the requirements for API service category SJ or later (or
equivalent). Always check the API service label on the oil container to be sure it includes the letters SJ
or later (or equivalent).
Refer to the operating instructions of the engine manufacturer.

5.4. Preparations for initial commissioning
NOTICE
The power generator is shipped without oil. Never start the engine without oil.
Damages caused by operating
without oil are not repairable and are also not covered by the manufacturer‘s warranty.
It is recommended that during the running-in period (approximately 200 operating hours) the oil level be
checked twice daily. After the running-in period checking the oil level once daily is sufficient.
• Fill the engine with oil.
Refer to the operating instructions of the engine manufacturer.
• Check the oil level.

• Connect the battery.

• Fill with fuel.
