COLD WEATHER OR EXTENDED STORAGE

3. Charge Air Cooler Draining:

a. Disconnect the charge air cooler's exhaust hose "a" and inlet hose

"c." The exhaust hose location varies, depending on engine

location.

b. Back flush the charge air cooler through the inlet port "c" with 138

kPa (20 psi) of air pressure (maximum) to remove the water from

the charge air cooler.

4. Reconnect all hoses and drain plugs.

Battery Winter Storage

Follow the battery manufacturer's instructions for storage.

Power Package Recommissioning

The power package may be started in two ways, with or without priming

the fuel system. If the water separating fuel filter was drained of fuel or

replaced, Mercury Marine recommends priming the fuel system prior to

starting.
Read and follow the complete recommissioning procedure before starting

the engine.
