Guidelines for Breakdown Services (Subject to technical modifications)

Fuel system

Bleeding

Press hand pump

 of fuel prefilter repeatedly until the filter housing is completely filled with fuel.

Start engine and run for about 1 minute.

The fuel system bleeds itself automatically.

Vehicles with fuel prefilter and heated water separator

Before bleeding, check whether water has settled in the sightglass

, drain water from fuel system.

Operate hand pump

Remove cap from main fuel tank.

Place receptacle underneath.

Operate hand pump

Bleed until the fuel emerges free of bubbles. If no fuel emerges, refuel main fuel tank with diesel and repeat 
the procedure.

Tighten bleed screw

Operate hand pump

 about 200 times if the system is completely empty.

The fuel system is bled.

Fit and tighten cap on main fuel tank.

Start engine.
