8.6 Automatic Contamination Prevention System
The Automatic Contamination Prevention System (Automatic CPS) is connected between the device
under test and the Measure/ Control port of the instrument by the backplate located on the rear panel
(Figure 8.6-B). The primary function of the Automatic CPS is to prevent liquid and particulate contami-
nents from entering into the instrument. The Automatic CPS (Figure 8.6-A) is designed to interface with
the CPC4000 and is energized to purge the device under test of any contaminents by an automated
purge sequence within the CPC4000 user interface.
