Starting a Remote connection and opening a Command Line (CLI)
There are two ways to access the management CPU:
• Via the Ethernet connector for remote access:
• SSH
• Telnet
• Web
• SNMP
• XML
1. Set up an Ethernet connection between the gateway and a local network machine using a
standard RJ-45 connector.
2. Start a remote secured shell (SSH) to the gateway using the command:
“ssh -l <username> <gateway _IP_address>”, where the <gateway _IP_address> is the IP
address of the gateway .

Confirm that the latest SW revision is installed on this device. Use the CLI to get the
currently installed revision and then go to Mellanox.com to check the revision of the
latest version.
