TROUBLESHOOTING
Pump control board alarms

Check possible causes of the error
in the Siemens variator.
Contact Meler's Service
Centre.
Check that the machine is working in the correct operating mode

The machine is
working in the int/ext-
external mode.
Check for voltage in XV (*) -
XV (*).

There must be voltage (0-10 V)
between the terminals.
Check the main machine.
The machine is
working in the ext-int/
ext mode.
Check that the XP (*) -XP (*)
contact is closed.
( 2)
The ON EXT LED must be lit with the
contact closed.
Check that the main
machine closes the
contact.
Pumping button set
to OFF.
If the pumping safety option is
enabled, press the button in
all modes of operation to start
pumping for the first time.
With the pumping button OFF; the
red LED lit.
Press the pumping ON/OFF
button (disable the
pumping safety option if
required).

Faulty temperature OK
contact.
With the temperature OK
in all devices, check for
continuity in connector
CN1 (Pin 3-4) of the control
board.
The contact is working properly if
there is continuity. With the temp.
OK, the OK LED of the control board
must be lit.
Replace the pump control
board.
Faulty power supply.
With the temp. OK and
temperature contact
continuity OK on the board,
check the voltage in the
2K3 relay.
Measure the voltage between A1-A2
of the relay. If the power supply is
working properly, it must measure
24 VDC.
Replace the power supply.
Faulty 2K3 relay.
With the temperature OK
and a voltage between A1-
A2, the contact 21-24 does
not work.
Check for continuity between 21-24
of the relay. If there is no continuity
the relay is faulty.
Replace the 2K3 relay.
The variator
permission contact
of the pump control
board is faulty.
With everything OK, stop
pumping and check for
continuity between pins S2
of the pump control board.
If there is no continuity, the board is
not OK.
Replace the pump control
board.
The error output relay
contact of the variator
is jammed.
Check for voltage in
the relay (*)
( 1 )
and for
continuity in contact 12-14.
If the relay coil is not receiving
voltage but there is continuity
between 12-14, the relay is faulty.
Replace the relay.
All of the previous premises are OK but the unit still does not perform any pumping operations
