without choke.

Replace spark plug.

The engine is weak, does not
rev up, and idles irregularly.

Unsuitable fuel mix,
or water in the fuel.

Replace with clean, fresh fuel

of the right type.

Air filter and/or fuel
filter clogged.

Clean.

The carburettor is
incorrectly set.

Adjust with the

adjuster screws.

No chain lubrication.

Too little oil or unsuitable
oil grade.

Fill with saw chain oil, or use

oil of a suitable grade.

Oil duct and/or oil
hole clogged.
