the fuel tank is empty. Fill up the oil tank
after filling up with fuel.
FUNCTION CHECK OF CLUTCH
Always check that the chain does not move
when the saw is idling.
WARNING!
Hold the back handle in your right hand and
the front handle in your left hand when the
saw is running, even if you are left-handed.
ADJUSTING THE CARBURETTOR
The carburettor is adjusted from the factory,
but may need to be fine-adjusted depending
on the working conditions.
Before adjusting the carburettor check that the
air and fuel filters are clean and that a suitable
fuel mix is being used.
Follow the instructions below to adjust:
1. The screws H and L can only be turned as
below.
- Screw H – 1/4 turn
- Screw L – 1/4 turn
2. Start the saw and run warm at low revs
for a few minutes.
3. Turn the throttle screw (T) anticlockwise
until the chain stops moving. Turn the
screw clockwise if the idling speed is too
low.
4. Do a test cut. Adjust the screw H to get the
best sawing effect, not for maximum revs.

2. Screw L

IMPORTANT:
The bar should be fitted when adjusting the
carburettor.
CHAIN BRAKE
The chain brake stops the chainsaw
immediately in the event of kickback.
The chain brake is applied automatically
during kickback by the triggering of the
kickback guard. It can also be applied manually
by pressing the kickback guard down and
forwards.
A white cone comes up by the base of the
kickback guard when the brake is applied.
1. Front handle
2. Release
3. Apply
4. Kickback guard
FIG. 10
Pull the kickback guard towards the front
handle until there is a click to release the chain
brake.
FIG. 11
WARNING!
Release the throttle control when the brake
is applied to reduce the revs. Running at high
revs when the brake is applied causes the clutch
to get hot and can result in material damage.
Always check before use that the kickback
guard and chain brake are working properly.
Check
1. Switch off the engine.
2. Hold the chainsaw horizontal, release
the front handle and allow the chainsaw
to drop down so that the tip of the bar
knocks against a stump, or equivalent.
Check that the chain brake engages.
This function varies, depending on the
length of the bar.
3. Do not use the chainsaw if the kickback
guard and chain brake are not working
