II.
Functional check of the handrails
The handrails must be checked in accordance with DIN EN 60601-2-52.
Check that the locking mechanism of the handrails is working correctly and that there
are no visible deformations or signs of wear on the handrails.
Check that the prescribed distances are maintained even with the rails down.
All the measurements of the distances of the side rails should be made with the bed in
a horizontal position, since the given dimensions while the bed is placed in another way
do not show less favorable conditions.
The measurement of A and D must be carried out using a cone defined in DIN EN
60601-2-52. The force used for the measurement of A must be at least 250 N
