If siderails are damaged, the bed cannot be used until side rails are replaced
When the bed is adjusted with the side rails up, guarantee that the patient
has no contact with side rails, and that any part of his body or of other
person is touching them o are trapped between the lay area and under
structure or floo
r.
A
wrong assembling of a component could be a risk in the user. If you
observe that this component is not correctly assembled, do not use it,
leave the bed without using and contact technical department.
All persons implied in the adjustment of side rails must read and
understand the following information:
During any adjustment of sections, height, you must be sure that the
patient does not touch the side rails, and that any part of patient body is
between side rails, to avoid entrapments and damages
There are available covers for side rails as optional accessory. These provide additional
protection against contact injuries with the handrails. The use of these protective
covers is recommended for all persons for whom the risk of injury from unavoidable
contact with side rails is very high. Even with the covers, the healthcare staff or the
patient must continue to take the necessary precautions when operating the bed
When the side rails are used, they must be completely up and correctly fastened, or
completely down. To avoid entrapments, never leave them without being completely
fastened and secured.

Side rail adjustment.
To fold down the side rail:
1)
Hold the side rail with one hand from the upper
side of the side rail.
2)
Pull out the lever.
3)
Fold the side rail until its lowest position

To fold up the side rail: Hold the side rail form the upper side of the side rail and pull
up to its maximum position. You will hear a noise when the side rail is adjusted and
secure in the upper position.
