12. Troubleshooting IP camera

Ensure a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection
is being used, 5 GHz networks are
not supported by the IP camera.
Network name/
password invalid

Do not use any special characters
in the network name. Ensure that
the network name and the pass-
word are not longer than 16 char-
acters.
The router is
using encryption
that is not
supported

Set the router to use WPA2-PSK /
WPA-PSK AES encryption, TKIP en-
cryption is not supported by the
IP camera.
The name of the
Wi-Fi network is
not being trans-
mitted

Ensure that the network name is
not being hidden by the router.
The IP camera has
not received an IP
address

Set DHCP on the router.
The MAC address
for the IP camera
is blocked by the
router

The MAC address for the camera
