Name: Here you can enter an optional name for the camera.
•
IP: Here you can allocate a valid IP-address of the network to the camera. To avoid a double allocation
of an IP-address in the network check the IP-addresses of the other network components. The IP-
address of each component you can find under: CONTROL PANEL -> NETWORK CONNECTIONS -> LAN
-> [right mouse click] -> PROPERTIES -> INTERNET PROTOCOL (TCP/IP) -> Data. The first three
numerical digit sequences, each divided by a decimal separator, are identical with all network
components. This means only the fourth numerical digit sequence is different. Its value can vary from 1
to 254.
•
SubMask: The sub mask separates an IP-address in a client and a host part. Usually its value is
255.255.255.0.
•
GateWay: Here enter the same value as stands in „Default Gateway“ of the network. Check it under:
CONTROL PANEL -> NETWORK CONNECTIONS -> LAN -> [right mouse click] -> PROPERTIES ->
INTERNET PROTOCOL (TCP/IP) -> Data.
•
Http Port: The port number for the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is usually „80“.
•
PPPOE:
Dynamic addressing is usually used by Internet Service Providers which offer Internet access via
switched lines. They use dynamic addressing via PPP or PPPoE.
•
DHCP: If a host gets allocated a new IP-address each time it gets connected to the network it is called
dynamic addressing. In the field of LAN dynamic addressing via DHCP is widely-used.
•
STATIC: Static addressing is used were dynamic addressing is not possible technically or makes no
sense. It is common that in LANs gateways, server or network-printer usually have static IP-addresses.
In the field of Internet access static addressing is used most notably for router on a leased line. Static
addresses are usually set up manually but they also can be set up automatically. This adjustment is
recommended.
After all adjustments are made confirm them by clicking [SUBMIT].
Furthermore the following functions exist:

Update: The software renews the list of connected IP-cameras.
•
By double-clicking a list entry the web browser opens the NETWORK MONITORING site and you can
watch the video sent by this camera.
•
Exit: Closes the CAM_EZ SEARCH software.
3. Operation of an IP-Camera with the Help of a Web Browser:
In general you can watch the video sent by the IP-camera from anywhere were you have access to the Internet.
Moreover this way it is possible to control the camera itself or change its adjustment.

The change must be confirmed by pressing [OK] and [JA]. Thereafter your web browser is able to show the
videos from the IP-camera.
