5

Twine requirements

5.1  Twine requirements

In order for the machine to produce well-shaped bales of excellent density, a top quality 
twine should be used. It is of the utmost importance that the twine is used and stored 
according to the instructions of the twine manufacturer.

5.2  Care of the twine roll

The twine rolls should be protected from damage, moisture, and prolonged exposure 
to the sun.

5.3  Care of the twine binding system

Before operating the machine, ensure that the following procedure is followed to 
ensure improved twiner operation:

Clean off the metal feed rollers and remove any fragments or debris.

Ensure all eyelets, guides and tensioners are aligned and adjusted correctly.

ENVIRONMENT: Recycling of waste twine

Respect the environment! Never throw away or burn the waste twine. 
Always take waste materials to a recycling centre.

CAUTION: Ensure safety first!

Ensure the tractor engine is turned off and the control box power is 
disconnected, before attempting to thread or adjust the twiner.
