Compact Cyclone Vacuum Cleaner
EN
15
USE
Please Note!
■
To ensure that the connecting cable
does not become hot during opera-
tion, pull out at least two thirds of the
total length from the device before
the vacuum cleaner is switched on.
Pull the connecting cable out no
further than the red marking on the
connecting cable to prevent any
damage!
■
The device should only be used if it
has been fully and correctly assem-
bled!
The dust container, the cyclone
insert and the HEPA fi lter must be
inserted and must not be damaged!
If dirt were to get inside the motor
unit, this could damage the motor.
■
If the
MAX
marking on the dust con-
tainer is reached during use, empty
the dust container.
1. Attach the suction nozzle you want
to the telescopic tube (
6
) or suction
hose (
7
) (see the “Assembly” chapter).
2. Pull the connecting cable out of the
motor unit (
5
), ideally up to the yellow
marking.
3. Plug the mains plug into a properly
installed plug socket that is easily
accessible.
4. Press the On / Off switch (
22
) to
switch on the vacuum cleaner.
5. Guide the nozzle over the surface to
be cleaned. The vacuum cleaner can
be pulled along like a sledge during
cleaning.
Open the exhaust air valve (
11
)
on the handle (
10
) to reduce the
suction force when cleaning up-
holstery, rugs or light, movable
objects. Normally the exhaust air
valve should be closed to pre-
vent the unnecessary reduction
of the suction force.
6. After vacuuming, press the
On / Off switch to switch off the
device.
7. Pull the mains plug out of the plug
socket, hold the connecting cable
securely and press down the
but-
ton (
19
) for retracting the cable with
your foot. Holding the connecting
cable securely prevents it having any
"whiplash" effect, e.g. against your
legs.
8. To ensure optimum performance of
the device, empty the dust contain-
er (
3
) after each use and clean the
cyclone insert and fi lters regularly
to prevent the motor from overheat-
ing (see the “Cleaning the Device”
chapter).
CLEANING THE DEVICE
Please Note!
■
No liquid must be allowed to get into
the device when cleaning the device.
Only the dust container and the inner
chamber may be cleaned with water.
However, they must be completely
dry before they are put back into the
device.
■
Never assemble wet or damp com-
ponents and insert them into the
device!
■
The device must always be discon-
nected from the mains power before
it is cleaned.
■
The exhaust air fi lter must not get
wet.
■
Do not use any sharp or abrasive
cleaning agents to clean the device
and accessories. They may damage
the surfaces.
• Clean the housing of the vacuum
cleaner with a damp cloth if neces-
sary. Then wipe it dry.
