Encoder: Thermistor (NTC)
The thermistor is solely used for temperature monitoring of the encoder
The NTC built into the TSX MAG encoder is exclusively for monitoring the temperature of the encoder and
must not be used for monitoring the winding temperature.
A thermistor is installed on the encoder for temperature monitoring. The resistance value of the NTC
depending on the temperature can be described with the following formula:
Figure 3-10 presents the measured and calculated resistance values as a function of temperature. The
results correspond to the theoretical values.
