The time-out is user configurable and defaults to 4 seconds.

If the on/off signal is brought back high again while the device is shutting down, it
won’t restart automatically. A low-to-high transition must occur after the device has
fully shut down to make a restart.

By long-pressing a front panel button configured for shutting down.
o
The time used for detecting long-presses is user configurable and defaults to 4
seconds.
o
A prolonged long-press (more than 8 seconds) gives a forced shutdown where the
internal voltages are shut off immediately, see chapter 4.2.3 - Forced Shutdown for
details. Note, this only applies to buttons configured as “action trigger”. For details,
see the software documentation.

By factory default, no action is configured for the pushbuttons.

By the operating system shutdown alternatives.
To ensure that data does not get lost or the flash memory becomes corrupt, it is recommended that all
necessary data shall be saved and all programs closed before the device is shut down.
Note that the device won’t shut down from Suspend mode by these actions. See chapter 0 for details
of Suspend mode and wakeup.
When performing any of the above, the CCpilot VC device will shut down. The pushbutton backlight
will flash to indicate that releasing the button configured for shutting down will result in the unit
starting to shut down.
