8.3
LOCATION AND MINIMUM TECHNICAL CLEARANCES
8.3.1
Indoor unit
The installation must allow authorized personnel to operate in the
event of maintenance, in an easy manner respecting both the safety
distances between the units and other apparatus that the technical
spaces (expressed in mm) indicated in the table:
(*) Recommended distances for lateral inspection in case of
concealed installation. In case concealed installation, the inspection
side is not required and you can keep up to 10mm on each side.

Make sure that the equipment is installed and protected from
the weather elements in a clean and dry location.

Place the unit on the wall.

Use the provided template to mark the mounting holes.

Drill holes in the marked positions and insert the plugs.

Hook the unit.

8.3.2
Outdoor unit
All the outdoor units of i-SHWAK V4 series are designed for outdoor installation: any cover over the unit and location near trees
(even if they partially cover the unit) is avoided in order to allow the air recirculation. It is advisable to create a proper basement,
with a size similar to unit foot-print. Unit vibration level is very low: it is advisable however, to fit a rigid rubber band between
basement and unit base-frame. It is also possible to install anti-vibration supports (springs or rubbers) to keep vibrations at a very
low level. Absolute care has to be taken to ensure adequate air volume to the condenser. Re-circulation of discharge air has to be
avoided; failure to observe this point will result in poor performance or activation of safety controls. For these reasons it is
necessary to respect the following clearances (expressed in mm):

Positioning on the floor
Provide lifting from the floor of the unit:
x
20 mm without conveying the condensate drain
x
90 ÷ 100 mm to allow the conveying of the condensate drain
In case of installation in areas subjected to extreme cold or heavy
snow, where there is th
e possibility of freezing, it’s recommended to
provide suitable frost protection systems.
