EMERGENCY OPEN/CLOSE DOOR PROCEDURES
1.
In the event of a medical emergency
where it is needed to open the
door before the tub is totally empty: hold Emergency Door Open
Button and the Door Open Button
at the same time
to open the
door
.
It will override the drain water sensors.
2.
In the event there is a power failure
or a failure in the door actuator
system, first check to make sure the drain does not have any water. If
there is water in the drain, the drain sensors will deactivate the Door
Open Button. In most cases, the door can be opened with the yellow
handled 5/16" ball end Allen wrench driver.
(see also GFCI Reset
Procedures.)
3.
Remove the emergency door open/close access panel by removing the two thumb screws at either end of the panel.
Set the panel and thumb screws off to the side.
4.
Locate the yellow handled 5/16” ball end allen wrench nested in a hole under the access panel.
5.
Engage the ball end allen wrench through the open hole in the tub deck into the socket at the top of the actuator
screw shaft.
6.
Turn the handle
clockwise
to lower the door.
7.
Replace the Allen wrench and access panel when the power is restored.
