9. Install the new oil filter cartridge with an oil filter wrench ,and then tighten it to the specific torque
with a torque wrench .Oil filter cartridge tightening torque:
500/600cc:17N·m (17m·kgf,12ft·lbf) 800cc: 20N·m (20m·kgf, 14ft·lbf)
10. Reinstall the sealing washer on the drain plug
11. Reinstall the drain plug. Add the recommended engine oil.
12. Place the transmission in PARK. Apply the brakes.
13. Start the engine. Allow it to idle for one to two minutes.
14. Stop the engine. Inspect for leaks.
15. Re-check the oil level on the dipstick and add oil as necessary to bring the level to the upper mark
on the dipstick.
16. Dispose of used filter and oil properly.
Engine Oil
Always check and change the engine oil at the intervals outlined in the Periodic Maintenance Chart
beginning on page 44. Oil may need to be changed more frequently if the recommended oil is not
used.

Mixing brands or using a non-recommended
oil may cause serious engine damage. Always
use the recommended oil. Never substitute or
