4.7 HYDRAULIC ROLLER ADJUSTING SYSTEM
Once the preliminary operations have been carried out (3-point
linkage coupled to the tractor and driveline engaged), connect
the hydraulic system to the tractor (Fig.16) in order to operate the
two hydraulic cylinders (A Fig.16) and adjust the rear roller that
establishes the working depth.
The hydraulic pipes have identi
fi
cation stickers representing:
1) Rear roller lowering.
2) Rear roller lifting.
NOTE: The two cylinders (A Fig.16) are equipped with an automatic
blocking valve (B Fig.16).

C - Flow deviator valve
1 - Oil pipe for roller lowering control
2 - Oil pipe for roller lifting control
CAUTION
Check the hydraulic pipes frequently and replace them whe-
never they show signs of wear or if small cracks form in the
rubber.
4.8 WORK DEPTH
Work depth adjustment of the machine is established by the position
of the levelling rollers, of the skids or of the rear wheels (optional).
4.9 LEVELLING ROLLERS

Packer Roller (Fig.17)
This can be successfully used in very varied conditions, even when
the soil is fat or damp.
It is advisable to prepare heavy soils in combination with a Seed
drill. Possesses a great levelling and crumbling effect on both the
surface and at depth.
Dimensions: D = 500; D = 600.
Spiropacker Roller (Fig.18)
Comprises a spiral bar wrapped around a central shaft.
It is particularly suitable for light, sandy soils and leaves a fair
amount of clods on the surface, settling the ground at depth and
forming the most suitable seed bed for the seed drill in certain
situations.
