3.5 Leg plates

•
To mount the split leg plates, press the push button
10 and insert the leg plate pins into the mounting
holes up to the stop (Fig. 5).
•
They are locked in position automatically as soon
as the button 10 is released (Fig. 5a).
•
The slope of the back plate is adjusted electro-hy-
draulically by means of the hand control.
•
To abduct the leg plates, open the eccentric lever 9
and set to the desired abduction angle.
•
Re-tighten the eccentric lever after making the ad-
justment.
•
A dual-pivot joint is used for abduction of the 1133.53
leg plates so that on the one hand the surgeon has
access to the patient’s body from the foot end while
at the same time the patient’s legs are given suffi-
cient support.
•
To remove the leg plate, press the push button 10
and pull the leg plate out of the mounting holes.
Take care that the leg plates are not crossed /
on top of each other before aligning the leg plates
for the horizontal position.
