Cap Tube or Expansion Valve

FUNCTION OF THE CAP TUBE OR EXPANSION
VALVE

The cap tube or the expansion valve controls the
refrigerant flow. Both controls allow the reduction of
liquid refrigerant from high pressure to its evaporating
pressure. The expansion valve is better suited for
varying temperature conditions.

FAILURE OF THE CAP TUBE OR EXPANSION
VALVE

A defective expansion valve or cap tube will not
properly regulate the flow of refrigerant.
