6.3.3 Processing Art Files

There are a several ways to open/import art files into ColorPRINT since the RIP can be configured for
multiple printer setups. It is important that the correct printer setup is highlighted when adding a job. The
best way to insure this is to put the cursor on the intended
Printer Setup
and right click. This opens a
drop down menu. Select
Add Job
(2) and a new Browser window opens.

Navigate to the desired network folder and either double click on the required file or highlight it and click
on Open (3).

If the RIP is set up to RIP and print jobs automatically, each of the individual Printer Setups should have
a
Hot Folder
(4) with the same name as the
Setup Name
. So if the RIP is configured with 5 different
Printer Setups, there should be 5 different Hot Folders with the same names as the Printer Setups.
Each Printer Setup should be configured to pull from the Hot Folder with the same name. If Hot Folders
are based on screen frame sizes, it is important that the person dropping the art file into the Hot Folder
knows the required screen size the images will be going to, as the image center line is determined by
the frame size chosen in each Printer Setup.
