3.3. Create a software configuration for the CoolMIR software
For BES 4.0 users
•
Open the
BlackBerry Handheld Configuration Tool
.
•
Click
Software Configurations
tab.
•
Click
Add New Configuration
.
•
Follow the instruction below 4.1.
For BES 4.1 users
•
In the
BlackBerry Manager
, in the left pane, click
BlackBerry Domain
.
•
On the
Software Configurations
tab, click
Add New Configuration
.
•
Fill out the Handheld Software Configuration Screen.
o
Enter a name for the new configuration.
o
Optionally fill in a configuration description.
o
Enter the Handheld Software Location in standard UNC format:
o
You could use something like: \localhost\Research In Motion (if the files are
installed locally on the server).
o
You can press the “Change” button to browse to the location of the files.
o
If you use this “browse” method, be sure to point to “My Network Places,” then
Entire
Network, drill down to the shared \Program Files\Common Files\Research In
Motion.
o
Click
OK.

Application Software
, and check the box in front of
to the CoolMIR application.

Change the
Delivery
column to
Wireless.
