Introduction
Malvern provides a range of default reports (identified with (M) appended to the
name - e.g. Intensity PSD (M)) that are sufficient for most users. For some users
though the default reports will not display all the required parameters. With
Report Designer the user has the ability to create their own custom reports to
satisfy their individual needs.
Overview
Two
views must be created due to the different aspect ratios of the printed page
and computer screen. The Page Layout shows the printed version and the
Screen Layout shows the computer screen version. Both views are saved
under the same .pag file name.
The two views do not have to be identical; for example company logos can be
added to the printed reports while not showing them on the display.
Report Designer enables the user to add and alter the following items to a report.
This is done with the aid of a
Control Palette (or Tools ) dialogue.
Data
The data in a selected record can be added to the report in the form of a
table or a graph.
Text
User defined text can be added.
Picture Objects
Bitmaps, GIF, JPEG, Metafiles and Icons can all be added to customise the
report.
Calculations
Custom calculations using system parameters can be added. These could be
used to provide pass/fail decisions.
Parameters
Any parameter stored in a Zetasizer record can be added to the report.
