T h e S R S ( S u p p l e m e n t a l R e s t r a i n t
System) airbags are designed to provide
p r o t e c t i o n f o r t h e d r i v e r a n d f r o n t
passenger in addition to the primary
safety protection provided by the seat
belts and seat belt pre-tensioners. The
airbag system controls airbag deployment
power for the driver and front passenger.
In response to severe frontal impact, the
SRS airbags work with the seat belts to
reduce injury by inflating. The SRS
airbags reduce injuries mainly to the
driver's and front passenger's head or
chest caused by hitting the vehicle
interior.
Always wear your seat belt properly for
adequate protection during accidents.
Seat belt usage is necessary to:
1.
Keep the passenger away from the
inflating airbags
2. Reduce the possibility of injuries
during accidents such as roll-over or
rear impact
3. Reduce the possibility of injuries in
frontal collisions that are not severe
enough to activate the airbags
4. Reduce the possibility of being
thrown from your vehicle during
collision
5. Reduce the possibility of injuries to
l o w e r b o d y a n d l e g s d u r i n g a n
accident
6. Hold the driver in correct position
which allows better control of the
vehicle

additional protection in a severe
impact only. It does not replace the
need to wear a seat belt. Relying on
the airbags alone could lead to more
severe injuries in a collision. The
airbags work with your seat belt to

collisions, the airbags won’t deploy
at all. Always wear your seat belts
even though you have airbags.
