Engine is Cranking, Vehicle
not Starting
Make sure that the engine check lamp is
not illuminated in the instrument cluster, if
the light illuminates follow the below said
instruction.
1. Be sure the shift lever is in N (neutral
position) and apply the hand brake
2. Set the ignition switch to OFF
position
3. Check fuel level
4. Check the water in fuel indicator
illumination. If it illuminates drain the
water from the fuel filter,

the procedure of draining water
from fuel filter
. Check the "check
engine lamp". If the indicator turns
OFF start the vehicle. Otherwise
contact an Authorised Mahindra
Dealer.
5. Check the glow plug light illumination
ON the instrument cluster. If it does
not illuminate check the glow plug
f u s e o r i f i t i s c o n t i n u o u s l y
illuminating contact an Authorised
Mahindra Dealer.
6. If the engine still does not start,
contact an Authorised Mahindra
Dealer.
Draining Water from the Fuel
Filter
Fuel filter is located on the left side of the
engine compartment.
If the “Water in Fuel” warning appears in
the cluster, the water from the fuel filter
must be removed immediately.
CAUTION
Do not operate the starter for more
than 15 seconds at a time. If the
engine does not start, turn the key
OFF and wait for 10 seconds before
c r a n k i n g a g a i n , o t h e r w i s e t h e
starter could be damaged.
