4. Install winch access tool in the spare

wheel lock nut and turn in an anti
c l o c k w i s e   d i r e c t i o n   ( t h e   w h e e l
lowers with each turn) till the wheel
reaches the ground.

5. Remove the spare wheel from the

lock.

Block the Wheel

B l o c k   t h e   w h e e l   t h a t   i s   d i a g o n a l l y
opposite from the wheel to be removed.

Wheel Nuts Loosening

The wheel nuts should be loosened
slightly before raising the vehicle. To
loosen the nuts, turn the wheel spanner
anti clockwise. When doing this, be sure
that the spanner is seated completely
over the nut so it cannot slip off. Do not
remove the nuts at this time. Just loosen
them about one-half turn.
