NOTICE
• During braking, some vibration
may be felt through the brake pedal.
This is a normal result of the system
r e g u l a t i n g b r a k i n g p r e s s u r e .
H o w e v e r, f r e q u e n t v i b r a t i o n
indicates a hazardous surface under
the road wheels and is a warning to
the driver to adjust speed to suit the
road surface and traffic conditions.
• When ABS stops operating, the
’feel’ of the brake pedal will revert to
its non-ABS condition.
WARNING
• A B S c a n n o t o v e r c o m e t h e
physical limitations of stopping the
vehicle in too short a distance,
cornering at too high a speed, or the
danger of aquaplaning, i.e. where a
layer of water prevents adequate
contact between the tyres and the
road surface.
• The fact that a vehicle is fitted with
ABS must never tempt the driver
into taking risks that could affect
his/her safety or that of other road
users. In all cases, it remains the
d river ’s respo nsib ility to dr ive
w i t h i n n o r m a l s a f e t y m a r g i n s ,
having due consideration for the
p r e v a i l i n g w e a t h e r a n d t r a f f i c
conditions.
• The driver should always take
a c c o u n t o f t h e s u r f a c e t o b e
travelled over and the fact that
b r a k e p e d a l r e a c t i o n s w i l l b e
different to those experienced in a
non-ABS vehicle.

• ABS is designed to operate only
with genuine Mahindra parts, and
the tyres and wheels as specified.

operation of the system caused by
modifications to the vehicle or the
fitting of nonapproved components.

• Do not pump the brake pedal at
any time as this will interrupt ABS
operation and may increase braking
distance.
• E n s u r e t h a t t h e r e a r e n o
obstructions beneath the brake
pedal which may prevent full travel,
i.e. additional floor mats, water
bottles, cleaning brush etc.
