4. After the FONTID2 adjustments have been made you can move on to the FONTID4
(rear indent) value. The FONTID4 value controls the placement of the numbers located
on the back side of the card next to the magnetic strip.
Hint:
To adjust the spacing of
these numbers change the FONTID4X and the Y FONTID4 Spacing values.
Note:
When you adjust the CardOffsetX or CardOffsetY values it will affect the FONTID4 value
so make sure to verify the indent alignment every time an adjustment is made.
5. When all adjustments have been completed the embossed characters should be
perfectly aligned and your sample card should look like the figure below.
The guide below should be useful when making adjustments to the embossing\printing
position.
Tuning Adjustment Guide
Front ID Printer Handoff
Embosser to left = increase Y-axis up = decrease
Embosser to up = decrease X-axis right = increase
Indent Exit Handoff
Embosser to left = increase Y-axis up = increase
Embosser to up = decrease X-axis to right =increase
Card Offset X SPI Adjustment
Embosser to left = decrease Embosser to left = decrease
Embosser to up = increase
Note: The font ID (FontIDXX) next to the offset value may be different then what is
shown in the previous figures but it will not affect the tuning procedure (it’s just a
different font type).
