9. Place one hand under the card hopper area and the other hand on the opposite side of
the printer.
DO NOT
lift the printer by the card justifier this could bend the justifier and
would most likely require it to be replaced. With both hands in their proper positions
slowly lift up and toward the left side of the chassis just enough to set the printer on the
spacer. Note: when reinstalling the printer use the alignment pin from the top deck to
place the printer in the correct position, this will assure proper alignment.
10. Next, disconnect the power and USB cables to the printer and the I380 encoder module.
Note: when the new printer is installed add the silicon adhesive (shipped with
replacement unit) to the power and USB cables on the printer PCB board.
11. After all cables have been disconnected the printer can be moved away from the
chassis.
Note: DO NOT let the I380 module support the weight of the printer doing
so will cause damage to the module.
12. After the replacement process is completed verify that the print/emboss alignment is in
the proper location by printing a sample test card.
