Once you’ve published your site, you or someone on your team can continue to
maintain it using these same tools. Before and after publishing, you’ll also want to
troubleshoot your site on a continual basis. For more information, see “Testing
and Publishing a Site” on page 501.

About the Site window

Use the Site window for standard file maintenance operations, such as creating
new HTML documents; viewing, opening and moving files; creating folders; and
deleting items. You can also use the Site window to transfer files between local and
remote sites, and you can lay out your site navigation using the site map (see
“Setting up a remote site” on page 123 and “Using the site map” on page 117.)

By default, the remote site or site map appears in the left pane, and the local site
appears in the right pane. You can change this setting in Site preferences. See
“Setting Site preferences” on page 110.

Using Site window controls

To open the Site window, choose Window > Site Files. Use the following buttons
and options on the Site window toolbar to set what the Site window displays and
to transfer files back and forth between a local and remote site:
