NSTRUCTIONS
The first use of the TRITON MUST be done with a certified instructor. The set, the unset
and the maintenance have to be shown and explained in details by the instructor!
3.1
The setting
The setting of the TRITON is the first operation to be done before using it. Generally it is
done according to the following steps:

Canister filling
•
connecting the loops
•
Test of the tank
•
Rigging of tanks
•
Pre-dive checks
The checks of the rebreather is one of the most important step. Therefore, they are de-
scribed in a proper chapter (see section: 3.2 ).
The TRITON is designed with coding system in order to facilitate the setting. The first one
is a mechanical coding system (by different size of item) the second one is a visual coding
system (by different colours). The colour code is:

A male connection must be clipped with a female connection with the SAME colour. Other-
wise, the connection is mechanically impossible and not leakproof as shown on the figure
3.1.
