8.2
Outputs
The SIL2 I/O module switches the outputs, captures the diagnosis information
and tests/checks the outputs.
The data will be transferred via safe protocol from the SIL2 bus coupler to the
PLC. The PLC evaluates the data and carries out a safe orientated error reaction
if necessary.
8.3
Inputs
The process and diagnosis data of the I/O module are sent to the bus coupler of
the LION system. The bus coupler transfers the data via safe fieldbus protocol to
the PLC.
The PLC evaluates the data and decides if the data are valid or not. If data are
evaluated as non valid, the PLC will carry out a safe orientated error reaction.
