9 Configuration
The bus coupler communicates with the I/O modules via L-Bus

with a safe
protocol. The bus coupler sends data to the I/Os or data will be received from the
I/Os. For the communication, a mapping of data between bus coupler and I/Os
has to be done. Therefore, the process-data image of the IOs has to be mapped
on the datasets of the bus coupler's source or sink telegrams.
The mapping and configuration of the data has to be done in the LION
Framework.
9.1 TDB
The TRDP bus coupler only supports the Trdp Data Base (tdb) file format.
The configuration is saved in an TDB file, which is relevant for the TRDP
communication. The file is generated by the LION Configuration Framework and
can be loaded on the bus coupler via the webserver.
9.2 Configuration Data Values
The project planner is responsible for the configuration. Especially for
the correct mapping of the process and diagnosis data between bus
coupler and I/O modules.
