Wiring Occupant Sensors
Turn power OFF to the LZC or LZC panel before
connecting occupant sensors.
• LZCs are compatible with standard 15 or 24 V
occupant sensors; follow manufacturers’ instructions
for installation and wire as shown
• Total current drawn for connected occupant sensors
must not exceed 60 mA; use an auxiliary power supply
for loads above 60 mA. Contact Lutron for details.
• Maximum wire length is 250 ft. (76 m)
• Use CIR COM for wiring occupant sensors to more
than one LZC
• Set delay to 0 initially for testing purposes
• Wire size #18 AWG (1.0 mm
2
)
• Follow directions provided with occupant sensors
for mounting and calibration
• Input specification for third-party occupant sensors:
- On state saturation voltage < 2.0 V
or > 10.0 V
- Off-state leakage current < 10 uA
- Open circuit voltage 24 V
maximum
- Short circuit current 4.0 mA maximum
Note:
+24 V signal is made only to
the first LZC if occupant
sensors are wired to multiple
LZCs. Do not c24 V
connections together on
multiple LZCs.
