MANUAL
Portable Temperature Calibraon Bath
FLUID 100 and FLUID 100-N
15
Using 47V5, bath performances are opmal in the field from -20° to 120°C, but with a fumes
sucon device it can be used up to 125°C, liming the running me to the highest values in order
to increase the life span, while at a low temperature the viscosity, even if high, allows good
funconing of the temperature calibrator, adjusng the magnec srrer to maximum speed.
If the liquid is oen used at high temperatures, we suggest to use the appropriate cover with holes
that allow passage of the probes and place it on the bath.
Before replacing the liquid in the calibrator with a different one, it is recommended to clean the
container with absorbent paper in order to prevent mixtures of different liquids that worsen the
operang condions and, most of all, cause the liquid to leak due to incompability of the
maximum temperature.
3.1.6 Srrer adjustment
The rotaonal speed of the magnec srrer can be adjusted using knob (6). The speed increases
with a clockwise movement. Adjustment is based on the vortex produced in the liquid: an ideal
vortext should be about 2 cm high. The rotaonal speed should be raised, at low temperatures,
when high viscosity silicone oil is used. At high temperatures reduce the rotaonal speed in order
to prevent having vortexes that are too high causing the liquid to escape.
Switch the temperature calibrator off, if the rotaon is blocked, adjust the speed controller (6) to
maximum and switch on the calibrator again. If it sll does not work, perform the maintenance
indicated in chapter 6.
3.1.7 Posioning of the probes
In order to get the best performances in the calibraon, observe the following recommendaons:
• Verify that the probe is inserted for about 140 mm, avoiding touchng the bo om.
• As for the calibraon by means of comparison with a reference sample, it is necessary to
posion the two probes, respecvely the sample one and the probe to be calibrated, at the
same lavel and as close as possible.
• To get the best accuracy and stability, put over the bath the protecons disc with holes to allow
the passage of the probes (see image below).
• The protecon disc reduces the formaon of moisture condensaon in the silicone oil at low
temperatures.
• Do not insert the probes in the center of the tank, as they
interfere with srring.
• Always verify the operang range of the probes and
thermostats before calibraon: only insert them into the
liquid if the calibraon range is compable with the
temperatures set on the temperature calibrator.
For example: inserng a probe with a range 0...50°C into
a liquid at a temperature higher than 120°C could
determine the breakage of the probe‘s sensive element.
• Avoid placing too many probes at the same me,
because the agitaon of the liquid is disturbed
resulng in large calibraon errors.
