Self-winding chronographs
L683 – INSTRUMENT POUR CAVALIER
Shows the hours, minutes, seconds and the date. Can
be used to time events lasting up to 12 hours and dis-
plays the results to 1/5th of a second.

The natural movements of your wrist will automatically
wind your Longines chronograph, which has a power-
reserve of 46 hours. It is only necessary to wind your
watch manually if it has not been worn for several days.
Adjusting the time and stop seconds
Pull the crown right out to position

, which will stop the
counter hand (small seconds). Adjust the time by turn-
ing the crown in either direction. Synchronise the watch
with a time signal (telephone, radio, TV) and push the
crown back in to position

Quick date adjustment

for adjusting the date is at 10 o’clock. Us-
ing the soft-pointed instrument provided by Longines,
press the push-piece to obtain the exact date.
