2.2. Organizational measures
The operating manual must be kept at hand for every person at the place of work of the floor saw.
Additions to the operating manual are generally accepted legal and other obligatory regulations for
accident prevention and for environmental protection, which must be observed and instructed.
Such obligations can also relate to e. g. the handling of dangerous materials or wearing personal
protection equipment or traffic-legal regulations.
The personnel assigned with activities at the floor saw must have read and understood the operating
manual before starting work, particularly the chapter safety notes. This applies in particular to
personnel only occasionally working on the machine, e. g. with the preparation, maintenance.
Regularly check safety awareness of the personnel as prescribed in the operating manual.
Always use the necessary and prescribed personal protection equipment.
Observe all safety and warning signs on the floor saw and keep them in a legible state! Replace
safety and warning notes that are damaged or can no longer be read.
Shut the machine down immediately if safety-relevant changes occur in the machines operational
behavior, and label it accordingly. Report the fault to the responsible place/person.
Do not make any changes by extensions and conversions without written permission of the
manufacturer. The instructions of the tool manufacturer must be observed.
Only use checked original spare parts of the manufacturer.
Adhere to prescribed periods for inspection or which are indicated in the manual.
A workshop tools appropriate for the work is absolutely necessary for executing repairs.
Machines with combustion engines may not be used indoors or in confined spaces.
Always obtain detailed information about underground lines in the cutting area before cutting and
take corresponding precautionary measures.
