The split plastic siderails are components of the bed, the siderails cannot be removed.

To fold siderails down:
►
Take hold of the siderail’s top bar and push towards mattress
platform 1.
►
Pull out locking mechanism 2 to unlock.
►
Fold siderail up or down 3 as required. Do not let the siderail
fall down when it is unblocked.
►
The siderail will automatically lock in its place when folded up
(you will hear audible ‘click’).
NOTE
: In certain cases (e.g. when there is no weight on the side-
rails), it is possible to unlock the split plastic siderail only be pulling
out the locking mechanism 2. This does not mean that the mechanism
is faulty. The manufacturer recommends always using the procedure
described above.
To fold siderails up:
►
Grip the siderail by the upper part for its handle.
►
Pull siderail up until it latches.
►
The locking of each siderail is indicated by an audible ‘click‘
when locked in place.
►
Ensure that the siderail is locked properly.
12.8.3 Split Plastic Siderails (SR22)

Risk of injury due to patient falling out of bed!
►
Ensure that folded-up siderails are securely anchored.
►
Press against siderails from inside in order to check stability.
►
Hospital personnel are responsible for ensuring siderails are folded-up when the bed is occupied.
12.8.4 Full length siderails
The full length siderails are components of the bed. The siderails cannot be dismounted. The hospital personnel is responsible that
siderails are locked in the highest position when the patient is on the bed.
To fold siderail down:
►
Grab siderail by its top partition and lift it up 1.
►
Pull and hold locking mechanism of the siderail toward the middle of the bed 2.
►
Fold siderail down 3 as required.
►
Repeat on the other side of the siderail.
►
To fold siderail up push the lift the siderail up. Siderail will click into place and lock automatically.
